Manufacturer and supplier of SS 347H Pipe accordance to ASTM A312 / A213 / A249
Stainless Steel 347 pipes is an iron based alloy containing at least chromium 10%. It is a general purpose austenitic stainless steel with a face centered cubic structure. Through the formation of an invisible and adherent chromium rich oxide film it achieves its stainless steel characteristics. It is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and can harden only by cold working. In order to suppress the grain boundary Chromium Carbide precipitation niobium is been added. ASTM A312 TP 347 is developed to provide an 18-8 type alloy with improved intergranular-corrosion resistance. It is a columbium/tantalum stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. In strongly oxidizing environments SA 312 Tp 347 has a slightly improved corrosion resistance over other stainless steel alloys as a result of the addition of columbium (niobium) and tantalum. ss 347 seamless pipe has moderately improved corrosion resistance over stainless steel 321 in strongly oxidizing environment. It is advantageous for high temperature service because of its good mechanical properties. Stainless Steel 347H Pipe is high-alloy steels it has high corrosion resistance than other steels owing to the presence of large amounts of chromium in the range of 4 - 30%. The machining of 347h seamless pipe is slightly tougher than that of 304 stainless steel. However, by the use of constant positive feeds and slow speeds hardenability can be minimized. astm a312 tp 347h is quite tough and ductile so it can be readily stamped, blanked, spun and drawn. sa312 tp347h stainless steel at temperature range of 1010 - 1193°C can be annealed and then quenched with water. It is unresponsive to heat treatment so the hardness and strength can be increased through cold working.
