The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the GCC launched the Made in the GCC platform in April 2020. This comprehensive initiative unites all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) platforms and local national platforms, directly supporting Gulf factories and companies that produce the region’s unified national products. This strategic move lays the foundation for a Gulf market that actively promotes domestic Gulf goods, preparing the region for the activation of the common Gulf market agreement.The Made in Oman platform was launched in May 2020, marking a significant milestone as the country’s first specialized platform dedicated to showcasing Oman’s factories and manufacturers across all industrial sectors. This platform provides detailed profiles of each factory, including information about their establishment, services, and products. By offering an online catalog, it facilitates direct contracts between factories and national companies, as well as suppliers from Oman and around the globe.The primary aim of the Made in Oman platform is to empower local products, enhance Omani industries, and boost the efficiency of the industrial sector so they can compete effectively both locally and regionally. This is achieved by showcasing exemplary national institutions, ensuring that national products become the first choice for consumers seeking high-quality goods. This initiative aligns with Industry Strategy 2040, which seeks to increase opportunities for national companies and factories to enter new markets and promote national products both locally and internationally.
