316 round bars is solid bar that is ideal for fabrication, manufacturing and repairs. It is widely used for agricultural implements, transportation equipment, artwork, industrial maintenance, fencing, etc. It is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade. As compared to grade 304 the molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties. It is particularly higher resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting in chloride environments.
ss 316 hex bar is a hexagonal cross section.It is available in 5.5mm to 38mm and it is manufactured as per national and international standards like DIN, AISI, BS, IS etc.
astm a276 grade 316 hex bar is usually regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel”, but it is not resistant to warm sea water. It exhibits surface corrosion, usually visible as brown staining in many marine environments.

It is used in the production of pumps and compressor, valves and actuator, axes and shafts etc. It provides good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870 °C and in continuous service to 925 °C. If subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is importantthan 425-860 °C ranges is not recommended.

It is a general purpose square bars which are a part of our light and re-rolled section which makes it suitable for everyday commercial projects. It provides excellent weldability by all standard fusion methods, both with and without filler metals. For maximum corrosion resistance heavy welded sections require post-weld annealing.
