Neoprene O-Rings

An O-ring is a kind of gasket with a circular shape used to block trajectories that otherwise allow the escape of a liquid or gas. The o ring is positioned in a groove to protect it between two surfaces. By squeezing the o ring, it is no longer open and blocks the direction of the liquid or gas you attempt to seal. For example, the valve is typically used by O-ring in automotive motors to prevent fuel from entering the combustion chamber. The O-ring provides a surface between the valve stem and the valve guide that has air and liquid-tight connections. Oil can leak into the valve guide if it is burned inside the combustion chamber without this small and otherwise simple portion.
