The PLUGLINE Inflatable Pipe Test Plugs offered here are the right choice for repairs, maintenance, or leak tests of newly constructed or refurbished pipelines.
Hydrostatic testing is essential in pipelines and sewers to ensure their safe and effective operation. Tests are carried out to control faults such as cracks, leaks, welding defects in these pipelines and sewers.
To perform the test, the ends of the pipeline are blocked with the Inflatable Pipe Test Plugs and the Inflatable Pipe Stoppers, the pipes are filled with water and pressurized to a predetermined test pressure.
Instead of the traditionally used pipe ends being blocked with temporary welded flanges that will be removed after testing, the use of Inflatable Pipe Test Plugs and Pipe Stoppers provide advantages in time, cost and labor.
They can be used to perform the tests according to Standard EN 1610:2015 with water or air on pipes.
Another common use of test plugs are to divert the flow in case of pipe inspection, cleaning, damage or repair.
They are made of high-quality special NR/SBR rubber reinforced with kevlar tire (lighter, tougher, and more puncture-resistant) cording. This material can be changed with NBR, CR, EPDM materials.
All test plugs are equipped with quickÂconnect couplings and nipples.
Available for pipe diameters from 50 mm (1,96") to 4200 mm (165,35").
Specified as standard working pressures 1,5 Bar (21,75 psi) and 2,5 Bar (36,25 psi). In addition to this Inflatable Pipe Test Plugs have higher working pressures can be produced.
Called as pneumatic test plugs, because of their inflatable specifications, in addition to above Inflatable/Working Pressures, they have also higher working pressures, like 6,0 Bar (87,02 psi) and 12,0 Bar (174,04 psi), they are named as PLUGLINE Inflatable High Pressure Pipe Test Plugs.
